Due to strong interest, we will present our annual Defensive Shotgun Course. This course is for the home defender who owns any Shotgun (must be able to shoot slugs, IC, or Modified Choke). Preference would be to the pump and semi-auto actions. There are a lot of myths about the Shotgun that will be dispelled in this class. You will learn the effective use of your Shotgun for in-home defense, AND NOW we will cover Bear protection.

You will learn –

Safety, Operation, Loads, Reloads, Malfunctions, Deployment, Patterning, Movement, Communication, Bear Protection, and shoot the Alaska State Bear qualification.

You must bring: Tactical shotguns are preferred but not mandatory. The shotgun must be capable of shooting standard slugs. Ammunition, Eye Protection (one set of clear), Ear Protection, Knee pads, Elbow pads, Hat with brim, Magazine pouch or pants with cargo pockets, Small pack or bag, Sunscreen, Rain Gear, Rugged Footwear, Cleaning Gear, Any Special Tools for your gun/gear, and Manual for your firearm and gear.

AMMO WILL BE PROVIDED AS OF 5/19/2024. If you sign up now, ammo will be provided.

(225 rounds of ammunition (A variety of ammunition is used in this course. Minimum of 150 rounds of birdshot (7 1/2 to 9), 50 rounds of 00 Buck, and 25 rounds of slug ammunition. No home reloads allowed due to insurance.)

No refunds are given for this class. This will be the only Defensive Shotgun Course for the year, so if you cannot attend, let us know so we can move you to next year’s class. OR you can give your class slot to another eligible person.
